Allocation cycle and annual timetable
EDB Circular Memorandum 177/2025 confirms the cycle and selected system rules; the EDB general page still presents detailed 2024/2026 material. Only newly published exact dates applicable to this cycle can enter the timeline.

Evidence used by each of the five guides
Each card separates the decision a guide can explain, evidence still pending for this cycle, and the current-cycle circular, year-labelled mechanism references and annual publication monitor.

441 official secondary-school profiles
Traditional Chinese and English open data are joined only where telephone, normalized official website and founded year match exactly. All 441 keys are unique and no fuzzy school-name match is used. These fields support comparison of district, finance type, fees, language, staffing and facilities, but are not 2027 application status.
- Facts generally as at September 2025.
- Profile S1 admission reference: September 2026.
- Both language files contain 441 rows and 103 fields, with SHA-256 locks.
2026
Non-official academic estimate and exam evidence
The estimate combines 50 points for official-profile academic programmes, 35 for teaching resources and a capped 15-point public-attention proxy. Groups 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B and 3 represent only this model order, not EDB banding, a complete exam ranking, intake results or admission probability.
The source requested 60 recent days; this release measures 2026-05-17 to 2026-07-14, observed 2026-07-15. 409 schools have complete measurements; 29 have no matched article and 3 have an exact or redirected article without complete daily data. Those last two cases give 32 schools a neutral value.
Official-site discovery found 386 candidate pages, but the reviewed comparable academic metric count remains 0. There are also 5 reviewed school-published HKDSE/IB distinction records across 4 schools; incomplete coverage keeps them separate and non-scoring.
Rights and independence
Third-party banding remains external-link only
Schooland and BigExam school-level band values are not copied, stored, filtered or added to School structured data. Schooland pages directly display a BigExam reference, so the two cannot be averaged as independent signals.
Rights boundary reviewed 2026-07-15; publication mode: external_link_only.
School relationships
Through-train, direct and linked relationships do not score
The current release has 30 official-profile-supported P1/S1 page relationships using exact names, self-reference or a reviewed alias; fuzzy matching is prohibited. A relationship does not mean automatic progression, guaranteed places, admission probability or a 2027 arrangement, and scores zero in the academic estimate.

Read methodologyFrequently asked questions
Why is the 2027 calendar empty if SSPA 2025/2027 is confirmed?
The cycle circular confirms the framework, while the full application, choice, result and registration timetable is not yet published. A cycle is not proof of exact dates.
Are the 441 school profiles 2027/28 admission data?
No. They are official 2025/26 Secondary School Profiles, generally reflecting September 2025; their S1 admission field applies to September 2026.
Are the 1A-to-3 rough groups EDB banding?
No. They are S1Tracker's non-official academic-led estimates, not student allocation bands, official school ratings, intake results or admission probability.
Why do discovered HKDSE or destination pages not score?
Each candidate still requires review of year, metric, value, unit, denominator and cohort. The current reviewed comparable metric count is zero, so page presence is not treated as an outcome.
