Language policy

Our School adopts English as the main medium of instruction for all junior students. Students can adapt to a rich EMI environment early in the hopes of establishing a smooth transition to senior forms as well as university. Most academic subjects are taught in English in senior secondary levels and students are to sit the examination in HKDSE in English. Besides, designated classes and groups in each junior form have Chinese Language taught in Putonghua. To strengthen the English proficiency of students, our school provides different enhancement courses for junior form students. Value-added classes for Chinese, English and Mathematics are introduced in formal curriculum in senior forms to cater for learner diversity.

Facilities

All classrooms are well equipped with visualizers, computers, projectors and computer nodes, together with an abundance of IT resources. We have installed new electronic white boards and renewed other IT facilities in every classroom. We have renovated the school hall, the court-yard, the library, the art room, the multi-media room, the performing arts centre, the De Xin Academy (Chinese Culture Centre) and Biotech Port. Apart from purchasing iPads for teaching, we have also installed a high quality audio-visual system in our school hall so that our students can use special effects in various performances. Teachers and students can enjoy school life in the beautiful and new environment. "STEM Hub " was established for STEM education with the support of QEF.
