Language policy

English is used as the Medium of Instruction for all academic and cultural subjects, except for Chinese Language, Chinese History and Life Education. Putonghua is used as the Medium of Instruction for Chinese Language and Chinese History. As language is the tool to all learning, accessibility and creativity, language progression is vastly cultivated in our school through many ways: integrating debate, drama and literature elements into the language curricula; organizing activities such as exchange programmes with overseas schools; hosting inter-house drama, debate and public speaking contests; inviting professionals from around the globe to give talks and exchange with our students. These activities help raise literacy standards by providing pupils with rich learning experiences.

Facilities

Optical fibres are installed in all classrooms, laboratories, lecture theatre, library and special rooms. Wireless network which covers the whole school campus is installed to support teaching and learning. We have established a well-equipped Biotechnology Laboratory, Ecology Laboratory, Integrated Science Laboratory, Physics Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Biology Laboratory for the provision of Biotechnology in Junior Secondary and Research-based learning activities. Fashion and Textile Room and Innovative Cookery Room offer a better learning environment for experiments and practical lessons. To promote e-learning and STEAM education, new facilities such as 3D printing and VR technologies are provided to arouse students’ interest in learning and engage them with more "hands-on" investigations. In order to sharpen our competitive edge and expand further, the new annex has plenty of facilities, including a fitness centre, a multi-media studio, a cantilevered basketball court, an indoor swimming pool, piano rooms and classrooms for providing students with all-round development.
