Language policy
The language education policy of our school aims to enable students to become biliterate and trilingual so that they are proficient in written Chinese and English and able to communicate confidently in Cantonese, English and Putonghua. In addition to the formal curriculum, students have ample opportunities to enhance their language skills in co-curricular activities such as Chinese and English drama, debate and speech festivals. The English Speaking League, established by our alumnae, provides students with the opportunity to learn from native English speakers with outstanding careers. Under the sister school scheme, students practise with mainland students to perform Chinese poems and prose in Putonghua. Students who are keen on learning foreign languages to explore the world can also enrol in Japanese, French, Korean and Spanish courses through the Other Languages Programme.
