Language policy

The school implements the "biliteracy and trilingualism" policy, focusing on foundational language learning to cultivate students' expression, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through various learning activities inside and outside the classroom, students' language proficiency is enhanced. Regular language activities are promoted during morning assemblies by the Chinese, English, and Putonghua departments, along with the library, to boost students' ability and confidence in using "biliteracy and trilingualism" for communication. Through Language Across the Curriculum (LAC) and collaborative Extended Learning Experience activities with subject groups, students revisit the bilingual terms learned in class during reading sessions and thematic weeks. This approach increases students' exposure to and application of subject-specific terminology in both Chinese and English, thereby enhancing their English vocabulary across different subjects.

In addition to the general classrooms, there are the School Hall, School Museum, Music Room, Student Activity Centre, Visual Arts Room, Library, Computer Learning Rooms, STEAM Laboratory, Food Science Laboratory, Business, Business Learning Centre, Campus TV Studio, Science Laboratories, Computer Assisted Learning Rooms, English learning Self Access Centre, Garden by the Rail, Parent-Teacher Association Resources Centre, Physical Fitness Centre. The covered-playground has been renovated and air-conditioning has been installed. It provides a favorable place for students to relax, dine and study.
